What is the cancellation policy for tour bookings?

Cancellation charges depend on the number of days before the travel date. The closer the cancellation, the higher the charges.

Is there any free cancellation period?

Yes, cancellations made well in advance may be eligible for partial or full refund as per company policy.

How do I cancel my booking?

Cancellations must be requested via WhatsApp, email, or phone with your booking reference number.

Will I get a refund if I cancel my trip?

Refund eligibility depends on the cancellation date, payment method, and supplier policies.

How long does it take to process a refund?

Approved refunds are usually processed within 48 hours to 10 working days depending on the bank or payment gateway.

Are cancellation charges applicable on advance payment?

Yes, cancellation charges are calculated based on the total tour cost, including advance amount paid.

What happens if the trip is cancelled by Karthi Travels?

If a tour is cancelled by Karthi Travels due to unavoidable reasons, a full refund or alternative arrangement will be provided.

Are hotel and permit charges refundable?

Hotel, permit, and entry tickets are subject to their respective cancellation policies and may be non-refundable.

Can I reschedule instead of cancelling?

Yes, rescheduling is possible based on availability and revised tariff, which is preferable to cancellation.

Are festival and peak season bookings refundable?

Peak season and festival bookings may have stricter cancellation rules and higher non-refundable components.

❌ Cancellation Policy of Karthi Travels

We must be informed if any tour or travel services are cancelled for any preventable or unavoidable causes. Cancellation fees will be applied starting on the day we receive advise and will be as follows:

🚐 For vehicle only bookings

Free Cancellation till 3 days before the pick-up date (Travel Start Date - 3 Days) will receive a full refund, after deducting a minimal administrative charge of ₹100.00.
No refund will be issued for cancellations made within 3 days before the pick-up date.
All No Shows will be charged as per the booking.

🏨 For bookings including accommodation or activities

Free cancellation till 7 days before the pick-up date (Travel Start Date - 7 Days) will receive a full refund, after deducting a minimal administrative charge of ₹100.00.
50% refund will be provided for cancellations made between 7 and 3 days before the pick-up date.
No refund will be issued for cancellations made within 3 days before the pick-up date.
All No Shows will be charged as per the booking.

🛕 For temple tours

If the booking is cancelled after the itinerary has been created, an additional 10% of the total tour cost will be deducted after applying the above cancellation charges to cover administrative efforts, reservation coordination, and other preparatory arrangements already made.

If you decide to cancel your trip or cut short the trip after it has begun, your reimbursement would be limited and would also depend on how much money we could get back from the hotels and other service providers we use. We are not obligated to provide a refund for unused hotel accommodations, chartered transportation, missed meals, etc.

If the cost includes Tirupati Tirumala Srivari Temple Special Entry Darshan tickets, the advance payment will be non-refundable after issuing the tickets.

Kindly note that refunds will be processed and credited in the bank account/card within 10 working days from the date of cancellation confirmation.
